Specifically, this Post Info app was designed and developed by Central of Excellence in Postal Technology, Mysore for customer service.
Post offices now offer all these essential services are at your doorstep RIGHT NOW through POST INFO App also popularly known as the Postal info app or web services. Now, the Post Information app that helps the public in many ways is like a postinfo online.

In short, a New service request feature is launched by the Department of Posts which enables you to avail of DOP services at your doorstep during the Covid-19 Lockdown period by raising a request in a mobile app or website. Hence, you can raise a request in Postal Info App also known as (aka) Post Info App, or in India Post Portal now.
How to raise a Service request in Postal Info App?

A New option “Service Request” has been provided in Post Info app using which you (as a customer) can raise a service request.
All you have to do is to place a request in the Post Info app or Web portal or notification link in the India Post website. ( Notification for the same has been given on the India Post Website as well).
You can click on “Urgent Request for Post Services-Doorstep service” to request for any urgent service or you can directly type the URL http://ccc.cept.gov.in/covid/request.aspx to request service on the Postinfo website.
First of all, you have to download Post Info App i.e, Postal info app downloads to access post info online. Postinfo app download can be made in the google play store.

How to download Post info app
Firstly, go to google play store and search for “Post Info’’ and click on “Install’’. Meanwhile, in a few seconds, it will prompt “open’’. Therefore, you are ready to use the Post Info app now. Now the process is Postinfo app download is complete.

In the Select service option of info post, the options of the following service are available:

- Savings Bank Services,

Depending on your requirement, you have to check further details of services as follows:
Mail Services: Speed post, Parcels, Registered post, and others .
You can place a request for sending speed post, parcels, and registered post by selecting this option
IPPB: Withdrawal Requests for doorstep payments in AePS, DBT payments, cash withdrawals from other bank accounts up to Rs10,000 per day.
Savings Bank: Deposit and others.
Financial Services: e-Money order, Adhaar enabled payment, IMTS(Western Union Money Transfer) and others option is available.
Insurance: PLI and RPLI premium payment details of policy number and premium. PLI customer login can be accessed.
Others: Apart from the PLI customer login, any other service request can be made in this option.
After you submit the service request successfully, you will be shared with a unique reference number (automatically gets created) for each request through email and SMS( to the email ID & mobile number provided at the time of request). So, you can track the status of the request with the reference number.
How these Postal Info App requests will be processed?
Before the submission of the request, your mobile number will be verified using OTP. Once you select the request in the Post Info app or Web portal and fill in the details including commenting on the actual requirement and submit, the information provided by you gets transmitted through to respective post offices & administrative offices for initiating the services requested by you.
A unique Request ID will be generated and you will be notified through SMS and email. They will take care of the services requested by you and update the status. Once, the services are provided to you as per request, you will receive SMS that the request at your doorstep is completed.
How to Track your Request made in Postal Info App?
You (as a customer) can track your request by clicking “click to track your request”, either in Post Info App or in the Portal:
For postinfo tracking, you have to enter either mobile number or reference number or Request ID shared with you. Clicking the “fetch” button will provide details relating to the status of your request:
After successfully serving the request at your doorstep, you will be notified via SMS and email.

- DoP Agent Login: If you are a PLI agent you have access to it.
- Customer Login: If you are a PLI customer, you can log in for payment of PLI premium online.
- Buy Policy: Purchase a Policy: Here, you can get a Quote for PLI policy. You can choose to buy a PLI policy by providing details asked for and get a quote directly.
Request an Agent: Otherwise, you may request an agent, if required, by providing details such as name, gender, Date of birth, mobile number, email ID, interesting products, state, city, pin code, remarks. Enter the captcha and submit for further information from the Department.
Premium calculator: Postal Info app provides the facility to calculate the return that you earn when you take a PLI policy. For more information on features of postal schemes, you can click on the information tab.
India Post is offering different types of Life Insurance Policies through PLI and RPLI. You can check the premium payable for all the eligible types of PLI/RPLI Policies based on the input entered.

For tracking of articles/Goods such as speed post, registered letter, registered parcel, and electronic money order (e-MO) this Postal Info can be used. So, you can track using the printed receipt number given to you at the time of booking. When you track your track result will have the booking time, dispatch time, & time, and date of delivery.

You have the option to search the address of the nearest post office in the Post Info app. Enter pin code or 4 characters of the post office name to find post office with matching relevant information. You can click on any post office to have a look at the other information like address, contact details, etc.
Further, by entering the first three characters of the name of the Post office or by entering the Pin code of the office the users can get a list of matching Post offices. By clicking again on the row the user gets the details like the Name of the Post office, Street address (location), contact details of the Post office (where ever available) for the selected Post office. The name of the Division and contact details.
Even the Offline Pincode search has a feature to find the nearest post office, locating post office on Google Map and Making a call to the Post office
In particular, you need not go up to the post office to know how much postage you need to go for in respect of speed post, registered post, letter, parcel, etc. The app navigates you to that information based on your inputs such as weight in grams, insurance amount, and COD amount.
The Post Info app will calculate the postage based on the weight submitted by you in the app for the following types of articles:
(i) Ordinary letter
(ii) Speed post Domestic (Domestic Speed Post Tariff depends on the distance between the place of origin and destination)
